Plumbing
Handwritten letters for plumbers
Somewhere in their new garage is a water heater of unknown age. They don’t know where the main shutoff is. When something drips at 10 p.m., they will search for a plumber, or they will call the one whose note is on the fridge.
Hi neighbor,
I’m Carlos from Rivera Plumbing, just a few streets over. New house, new pipes to figure out.
If you ever want me to show you where your main shutoff is and check the water heater, I’m happy to swing by.
Keep this handy. Call or text (831) 555-0118, nights too.
– Carlos

Why new movers matter for plumbing
Someone just moved in down the street. They don’t have “a guy” yet. Every month, each new household in your zip gets a handwritten letter from you, in your own handwriting, in real ink.
Plumbing problems don’t wait
A leak or a backed-up drain needs someone now. Nobody shops around at 10 p.m. They call the number they have.
They have no plumber yet
The last owners took their plumber’s number with them. New movers are starting from zero.
Small jobs lead to big ones
The family that calls you for a running toilet is the one that calls you for the water heater and the repipe.
Beyond new movers

- “We were just on your street”After a job, a note to the neighbors. Same age houses often have the same pipes and the same problems.
- Water heater check-insA note to past customers whose heaters you put in years ago, offering a flush or an inspection.
- Thank-you after a big jobA handwritten thank-you after a repipe or a sewer line, with a line asking for a review.
Exclusive
One plumber per zip
Your territory is a zip code. Hold it, and no new household there hears from another plumber through LocalLetters. Not like shared leads sold to three to five companies, and not an ad auction you have to win again tomorrow.
Smaller zips go to one company. Bigger ones take a bigger plan, or get split between two or three, but no household ever hears from two companies in the same trade. Other trades can hold the same zip, so a plumber and a roofer aren’t competing for it.
Questions
What plumbers ask
I mostly do emergency calls. Does this fit?
That’s the point of it. The letter is there before the emergency, so your number is the one they find.
Can I mention a service like a water heater flush?
Yes. Write what you’d say to a new neighbor at the mailbox. Most plumbers mention one simple thing they’ll check.
What if a second plumber wants my zip?
If you hold it, no household there hears from another plumber through us.
What does it cost?
Plans are $249, $449 or $999 a month for up to 50, 100 or 250 cards. That covers the move data, the cards, envelopes, writing, stamps and mailing. Cancel any time. See pricing.
