Handwritten letters for painting companies
The last owners painted the dining room dark green. The nursery is lime. The new family is living with it for now, but they’re already holding paint chips up to the wall. The best time to reach them is before they pick a painter.
Welcome to your new home!
I’m Ana, I own Fresh Coat Painting in Salinas. Every house comes with a few color choices that weren’t yours.
When you’re ready to make the place feel like you, I’d be glad to come by and give you an honest quote.

Why new movers matter for painting
Someone just moved in down the street. They don’t have “a guy” yet. Every month, each new household in your zip gets a handwritten letter from you, in your own handwriting, in real ink.
Painting happens early
Many people paint in the first months, sometimes before the furniture is even in place.
Interior leads to exterior
The family who hires you for a few rooms is the one who asks about the outside next.
A careful note for careful work
A neat, handwritten letter says something about how you work before they ever meet you.

- Thank-you and review askA handwritten thank-you after the job, with a line asking for a review.
Exclusive
One painter per zip
Your territory is a zip code. Hold it, and no new household there hears from another painter through LocalLetters. Not like shared leads sold to three to five companies, and not an ad auction you have to win again tomorrow.
Smaller zips go to one company. Bigger ones take a bigger plan, or get split between two or three, but no household ever hears from two companies in the same trade. Other trades can hold the same zip, so a plumber and a roofer aren’t competing for it.
Questions
What painting companies ask
Do I need to offer a discount?
No. Many owners just offer a free, honest quote. It’s your letter, so say what you’re comfortable with.
I mostly do exteriors. Does this still fit?
Yes. Mention exteriors in the note. New owners often plan exterior work for their first dry season.
How long until I see calls?
It varies a lot by area and month. Give it a few months before you judge it.
What does it cost?
Plans are $249, $449 or $999 a month for up to 50, 100 or 250 cards. That covers the move data, the cards, envelopes, writing, stamps and mailing. Cancel any time. See pricing.
