Pest control
Handwritten letters for pest control companies
New house, unknown pests. They don’t know if the last owners had a service, what’s in the attic, or whether that line of ants is normal. The first time they see something crawl across the kitchen, they want someone local they can call.
Welcome to Hollister!
I’m Tom, owner of Shield Pest Control in Hollister. Every house around here has its own little surprises.
If you want, I’ll do a walk-around and tell you what I see: ants, rodents, whatever. Honest answer, no contract to sign that day.
Text me: (831) 555-0154.

Why new movers matter for pest control
Someone just moved in down the street. They don’t have “a guy” yet. Every month, each new household in your zip gets a handwritten letter from you, in your own handwriting, in real ink.
They don’t know what they bought
Termite history, rodents in the attic, wasp nests under the eaves. New owners find out one at a time.
Service plans are recurring
A new mover who signs a quarterly plan can stay with you for a long time.
Someone local feels safer
People want a person they can call and talk to, not a call center. A signed note says that’s you.
Beyond new movers
One-time sends that fit pest control
No subscription needed. You bring the reason and the addresses, we write and mail them once. From $2.95 a card.
- Seasonal pest notesBefore ant season or when rodents move indoors for winter, a note to everyone in your zip.
- “We just treated a home on your street”Pests don’t stop at the property line. Neighbors of a job are often dealing with the same thing.
- Win back lapsed plansA short, personal note to customers who canceled a plan, asking if they’d like to start again.
Exclusive
One pest control company per zip
Your territory is a zip code. Hold it, and no new household there hears from another pest control company through LocalLetters. Not like shared leads sold to three to five companies, and not an ad auction you have to win again tomorrow.
Smaller zips go to one company. Bigger ones take a bigger plan, or get split between two or three, but no household ever hears from two companies in the same trade. Other trades can hold the same zip, so a plumber and a roofer aren’t competing for it.
Questions
What pest control companies ask
Should I offer an inspection in the letter?
Many owners do. Keep it simple and honest, and say it in your own words.
Can I write to homes near a termite job?
Yes. That’s a one-time send. Tell us the street and how many houses.
Will another pest company mail the same households?
Not through us. If you hold the zip, new movers there hear from you and no other pest company.
What does it cost?
Plans are $249, $449 or $999 a month for up to 50, 100 or 250 cards. That covers the move data, the cards, envelopes, writing, stamps and mailing. Cancel any time. See pricing.
